Epcot Flower and Garden (and Food!) Festival

EPCOT is my favorite Disney park, and I think Francis and I must have circled the World Showcase 4-5 times last week. While I'm still working on sorting the hundreds of photos, here are some of topiaries and other features from the Flower & Garden Festival.

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy & Pluto
Lion King: Rafiki, Simba, Sarabi & Mufasa
Monsters Inc: Mike & Sully
Donald and Daisy
Pandas in China
"Fire Breathing" Dragon in China
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Cinderella & Prince Charming
Captain Hook and Tick Tock the Croc
Woody from Toy Story

This train and village (above) in Germany is not exclusive to the Flower & Garden Festival. It's just one of my favorite things at the World Showcase.

I was excited about the Flower & Garden Festival because I knew I'd find some great inspiration. We're about to rearrange some things and build new gardens at our house this year, and I loved this planter that used tomatoes, potatoes, a small lime tree, and flowers together. I vow to do more creative and pretty edible gardens this year!

The best part of EPCOT's World Showcase: FOOD! We had pretzels in Germany, egg rolls in China, sushi in Japan, avocado margaritas and carne asada in Mexico, Grand Marnier orange slushies in France, Strongbow in the UK, lamb shawarma in Morocco, and these delightful little snacks that were at The Cottage near the UK for the Festival. In the foreground, we have a Potato, Chive, and Cheddar Cheese Biscuit with Salmon Tartare and Sour Cream, and behind it, Baked Goats Brie with Kumquat Chutney. Delish! And all these little festival snacks were right around $4-5 each. Take a peek at all of the offerings from 2013 and start planning your 2014 trip now!
